Congrats to our former MathExpLR (Mathematical Experience through Learning Research) participant, Seo-Yeon (Karen) Chung who was named a top 300 scholar in the 79th Regeneron Science Talent Search—the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science and mathematics competition for high school seniors. A listing of all 300 Scholars can be found here ; nearly 2,000 students entered the competition this year.
Seo-Yeon (Karen) Chung of Irvine, California, is a student at Northwood High School. She participated in the MathExpLR program in summer 2018. The MathExpLR (Mathematical Experience through Learning Research) program offers high school students an introduction to real-life science problems through individual summer projects, supervised by an experienced center faculty member at UCI.
