Assistant Professor in Math Biology

The Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Irvine, is seeking outstanding candidates to fill one tenure-track Assistant Professor position to start July 1, 2021. This position is in the area of Mathematical and Computational Biology in support of the NSF-Simons Center for Multiscale Cell Fate Research (CMCF). The successful applicant will have significant opportunities for interdisciplinary research interactions facilitated by CMCF. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics or related disciplines, and should have demonstrated excellence in research and teaching.

CMCF POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW POSITIONS

We are recruiting! Opportunities to join the center as an NSF-Simons Postdoctoral Fellow are open now. Successful candidates will work with center faculty members to carry out interdisciplinary research projects on cell fate dynamics.

Postdoctoral Scholar — The NSF-Simons Center Fellow

The NSF-Simons Center for Multiscale Cell Fate Research will hire multiple postdocs titled as “The NSF-Simons Center Fellow”. New PhDs with training and backgrounds in modeling, informatics, and experiments are all welcome to apply. Applicants must possess a PhD in Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Medicine or related fields at the time of appointment .

The successful candidates will work with the center faculty members to carry out interdisciplinary research projects on cell fate dynamics. The Center Fellows are expected to work in an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment on research and training. The positions are eligible for annual renewal for up to three years based upon availability of funding and performance of the Fellows.

The review process is ongoing and will continue until positions are filled. Appointments can start as early as October 8, 2020.
