New CMCF center faculty Dr. Jin Yu was award a NSF grant to study antiviral drugs curing COVID-19. The funded project is to use large computer simulations to dissect how drugs like Remdesivir (RDV) target RNA-dependent RNA polymerase from SARS-CoV-2 (or Cov-RdRp). 

In addition to the NSF grant, Dr. Yu also received a high-performance computing (HPC) award supported by the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF) furnished with Summit, one of the world’s top supercomputer.
